This task is just what it sounds like....you are to create a poem (of your own) to put in a Valentine Card for a veteran. Your poem should be patriotic based and THANKFUL for those who serve or have served our country. Mrs. Rash will actually be delivering these to the Veteran's Hospital in Tampa. It brightens their days knowing that you care enough to put some thought into a poem for them, so do your best!
DIRECTIONS:
1. Choose 1 of the following types of poetry. Your TOPIC should focus on being THANKFUL that a VETERAN has HELPED OUR COUNTRY get to where it is! .....If you click on the type of poem below, it will take you to a link that will desribe HOW to write that type of poem:

Ex: Alliteration, Assonance, Hyperbole, Onomatopoeia, Simile, Metaphor, Imagery, Personification

3. Pull up Microsoft Publish and create a new "Card." Type your poem into a text box and design a Valentine's Day Card for a veteran. You may add clip art, pictures, thank yous, etc...be creative and make it look nice.
